Morning arrive at Chennai International airport.

Chennai, formerly known as Madras, this 369-year-old city is the capital of the southern state of Tamil Nadu and is India's sixth-largest city in terms of population with an estimated population of 7.45 million (2005). It serves as one of the main gateways to South India and has a thriving local culture and art scene and is one of the major destinations for medical tourism. It is considered as one of the world's fastest growing cities although ranks 13th in terms of cleanliness. It is on the Coromandel coast of the Bay of Bengal and has the second longest beachfront of any municipality in the world.

On arrival, meeting, assistance at airport by our local representative and transfer to hotel. Where our executive will explain the travel plan in detail and hand over the essential documents (Tour programme, Hotel's vouchers, Feedback report etc.) to you.

After wash and change at hotel enjoy tour including The British east India Company's St. George Fortis a famous landmark of Chennai. Another colonial structure in the city of Chennai worth visiting is the Santhome Cathedral & Marina Beach.  Evening free to explore local markets. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast at hotel derive to Mahabalipuram. Mahabalipuram - The religious centre of Mamallapuram (formerly Mahabalipuram) was founded by a 7th-century-CE Pallava king, Narasimhavarman, also called Mamalla ("great wrestler"), for whom the town was named. On arrival, check in at hotel.

After wash & change drive to visit shore temple & Pallava Cave - The standing testimonial to the rock cut art, also visit Arjuna's Penance, Krishna Mandapam, Five Rathas and beach. Rest of the day free to relax at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry (106 kms )
After breakfast at hotel drive to Pondicherry. Pondicherry is the erstwhile French colony now a union territory India. Upon arrival check in at hotel.

After wash and change at hotel visit Auroville - A real example of community living and gradually flourishing, Auroville is conceived as a ‘Universal Town’. This is a place were people with different nationalities; beliefs and culture live in harmony. This amazing city of community living was started in 1968 by the Maa, renowned disciple of Shri Aurobindo, also visit Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry Museum and sculpture gallery with an outstanding collection of artifacts. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Pondicherry - Chidambaram - Kumbakonam (128 kms )
After breakfast at hotel drive to Kumbakonam enroute visit Chidambaram.

Chidambaram is among the most venerated towns in the Southern India. The sacred city has some of the finest of the architectural marvels that its famous temples reflect.

Later continue drive to Kumbakonam. On arrival check in at hotel. Rest of the day free to relax at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

w3infotekDay 05: Kumbakonam - Tanjore - Trichy (100 kms )
After breakfast at hotel visit Kumbakonam. The city is famous for the Mahamaham festival that is celebrated once in 12 years in the Mahamaham tank located in the heart of it. The town has also been well - known for its prestigious educational institutions which have turned out eminent stalwarts in diverse spheres. The town is famous for brass vessels. It is primarily a market town for the predominantly agriculture based villages surrounding it. Betel leaves are cultivated more in Kumbakonam since it is also called as Kumbakonam Vettrilai.

Later drive to Tanjore to visit Brahadeeswara Temple, Sculpture of Nandi (Bull) & Royal Palace Complex.

Continue drive to Trichy.

Trichy also known as Tiruchirappalli, situated on the banks of the river Cauvery is the fourth largest city in Tamil Nadu. It was a citadel of the early Cholas which later fell to the Pallavas. Trichy is a fine blend of tradition and modernity built around the Rock Fort. The town and its fort, now in Trichy were built by the Nayaks of Madurai. This city has given great Tamil scholars whose contributions to the Tamil literature have been very significant.

The most famous land mark of this bustling town is the Rockfort Temple, a spectacular monument perched on a massive rocky out crop which rises abruptly from the plain to tower over the old city. On arrival, check in at hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure activities. Overnight at hotel.

After an early breakfast at hotel visit Lord Robert Clive's house, Srirangam Temple - The Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple or Tiruvarangam is a Hindu temple dedicated to Ranganatha, a reclining form of Hindu deity, Vishnu located in Srirangam. Rock-Fort Temples.

Later drive to Rameshwaram.

Rameswaram is a small island in the Gulf of Mannar, is a major pilgrim centre. It is connected to the mainland by road and railway bridges. Rameswaram is a holy place because Sri Rama, on his return from Sri Lanka, offered his thanks to Lord Shiva and performed pooja to wash away his sin in killing the Demon King, Ravana.

Rameswaram is known for its 22 theerthas or wells in and around the main temple. This place is equally sacred to both Vaishnavites and Shaivites. According to Hindu Mythology, if one visits Rameswaram and prays to Lord Shiva one will be relieved of one's sins. It is 197 metres long.

After an early breakfast at hotel enjoy full day city tour including Maratha Palace, Gandamadana Parvatham, Agni Theertham, Rama Sethu Point, Sri Danushkodi Ram Setu Kshethram, Kothandaramaswamy Temple, Ramanathaswamy Temple - The Ramanathaswamy temple is renowned for its magnificent corridors and massive sculptured pillars. The third corridor of Ramanathaswamy temple is the longest one in the world.Overnight at hotel.

 After breakfast at hotel drive to Kanyakumari.
Kanyakumari - is the land's end of India where the water of the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean meet. An important pilgrim centre of India.

After breakfast at hotel enjoy city tour including Gandhi Memorial, The Vivekananda Rock Memorial, built on a huge rock off the shore off Kanyakumari, Have darshan at Suchindram Temple and Kanya Devi Temple.

Later drive to Madurai. Madurai is a temple town of southern India. People from several different religions and cultures are residing in the place and all different kinds of festivals are celebrated here in unison.  It is situated on the bank of river Vaigai and has been the kingdom of Pandya kings in the past century. The city is constructed in the form of a lotus and is known as lotus city too. On arrival check in at hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure activities. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast at hotel visit Thirumalai Nayak Palace, a magnificent palace that was built by King Thirumalai Nayak with valuable assistance of an Italian architect in the year 1636.

Later in the evening visit Sree Meenakshi Temple, one of the most prominent temple dedicated to Lord Shiva who was known here as Sundareshvara and his wife Parvati or Meenakshi. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast at hotel drive to Kodaikanal.

Kodaikanal a quiet hill station tucked away in the pristine Palani Hills of Tamil Nadu, Kodaikanal is often referred to as the Princess of Hill Stations. The typical colonial hill station created as a getaway to escape the heat of the plains. On arrival, check in at hotel.

After breakfast at hotel drive to Ooty.

Ooty also known as Udhagamandalam is the "Queen of hill stations" and the capital of Nilgiris district. It is one of the most popular tourist resorts in India. Nilgiris means "Blue Mountains". It is a land of picturesque picnic spots. Used to be popular summer and weekend getaway for the Britishers during the colonial days. It is situated at an altitude of 2,240 meters above sea level. An added attraction for the tourists to Udagamandalam is the mountain train journey on a ratchet and pinion track which commences from Kallar, near Mettupalayam and wends its way through many hair-raising curves and fearful tunnels and chugs along beside deep ravines full of verdant vegetation, gurgling streams and tea gardens.

After an early breakfast at hotel drive to Yearcaud.

Yearcaud - This quiet little hill station on the Shevaroy hills of the Eastern ghats is the only one of its kind in northern Tamil Nadu. While the rest of this region is generally dry, including the predominantly short and rocky hills of the Eastern ghats, Yercaud presents a welcome contrast with its cool climate
where temperature never rises above 30ºC and dip below 13C.

On arrival, check in at hotel. After wash and change at hotel visit the famous Lake, Lady's Seat, Killiyur Falls, Pagoda Point, Arthur's Seat, Kaveri Peak and the Shevaroyan temple. Overnight at hotel.
